4. Zone Alarm - if you're on the Internet your computer needs a firewall. Period. End of discussion. Modern versions of Windows do come with a firewall, but it is not what some would consider completely adequate. It is better than nothing, but that's about it. 5. Notepad++ - the notepad that comes with your computer does read text files, but that's about all it does. If you are a programmer or even someone who just wants to get more out of your notepad text editor, Notepad++ is for you.

6. OpenOffice.org - opening Word documents or PowerPoint presentations is an absolute necessity. Working with Microsoft Office documents no longer meanst that you have to buy a copy of Microsoft Office. OpenOffice.org works with all of the popular Microsoft formats as well as the newly popular Open Document formats. It is also completely free. It is great for kids who need to write papers for school, or business is on a tight budget.

This beautiful gadget is the latest invention from Apple. Once again their design team has got it spot on and have designed not just a gadget but a piece of art.

Looking at the Macbook Air really does make you want it. Sure there are thinner laptops out there, but do they have anything on the design of the Macbook Air? Not one bit... With the Macbook Air came a laptop that people wanted to show off.

It's more a fashion item more than anything. If you have one of these you certainly dont want to keep it to yourself. The aluminium casing reassures you that the build quality has not been sacrificed for the size.
